Otago museum!
Last week, I
visited Otago museum with my classmates for find an information about Maori culture. My group, Jinli and me, got a topic about Maori foods and medicines. At first times, I thought this topic maybe it’s
easy to found an information cause it’s just a basic topic but a few minutes
ago, I’ve realized it’s not have information about my topic in there. But we so
lucky because we met a staff who is a Maori people and can gave us about this
information. It was really appreciated, she wrote an information in my
notebook, she is very kind.
After that I and Jinli decided to look around the museum. Firstly,
We went to Tāngata
Whenua this room is about Taoka (treasures) of Kāi Tahu and other iwi
(tribes) throughout Aotearoa New Zealand. Then, we went to Pacific Cultures room. This room has an
information about People and cultures across Oceania. Lastly, we
went to Animal Attic(it’s about Weird and
wonderful creatures in a Victorian-inspired setting) and Nature
room(Unique Otago wildlife, habitats and ecosystems).
I saw Jinli, she was very excited. She said “wow” every place we went. I really
enjoyed with her and maybe next time if I have a chance,I will go there again!
It was nice to cooperate with you and wish we have another chance to cooperation next time.
