Maori culture presentation

Last Thursday, we did a presentation about Maori culture. I talked about Maori music.

Maori had no letters, so music and art were important for them and it was used to tell about their legend, myth, and history. And the instruments were caved elaborately so they were like the arts. I think the melody of Maori music is similar to Hawaiian because I dance hula. Maori and Hawaiian are kinds of Polynesian. So they have similar culture.

In our presentation, I tried to talk with words which are easy to understand. It was good for listeners and also for me.

Also I tried to listen to classmates’ presentations to catch information about other topics of Maori. It was hard for me, but their Power Point helped to understand easily.

Thanks to this presentation, I could be interested in Maori culture than before.
