Maori culture

 

Last Thursday,  I  presented on Maori traditional food and medicine with my partner Molly by PowerPoint. Molly was responsible for this topic about Maori traditional food and I talked about Maori medicine.I have learned a lot from this speech. Maori used a range of traditional medicine to deal with illnesses. The traditional Maori medicines is produced from native plants in New Zealand. More than 200 plants were used medicinally by Maori.s These plants are all important for healing. In addition, some plants can be cooked with food together. Maoris were in good health and appeared to suffer from few diseases in the 18th century. Some of the information relating to the medicinal use of plants has been supported through scientific studies.I enriched my knowledge about Maori traditional medicine because of this speaking assessment.
