Jinli Wei

 

Today, I will introduce myself .My name is Jinli Wei. I come from Fuzhou, Fujian province, China. My hometown is a beautiful city which is famous for its national historical heritage and traditional buildings, like Three Lanes and Seven Alleys which are old streets. I am studying English in the English Language Centre of Otago University now.

I graduated from San Ming Vocational Technical College. My major was accounting. Why did I choose this major? I did not know which major to study when I graduated from high school. In addition, I did know what to do in the future .My grandfather gave me three pieces of advice: Try teaching, nursing or accounting. I thought I would not be patient with students and I was afraid of blood, so finally I chose accounting. I tried to study accounting, maybe I would love it.

I worked as a cashier in a small private company for about two years. I did not like this job. I thought it was totally boring and I worked long hours for low pay. But my workmates were very friendly and I got along with them. They taught me a lot of things about work .I want to be an accountant in the future.

I enjoy watching movies. My favourite movie is called ‘The Pursuit of Happiness.’ It is impressive and educational. The movie taught me a lot about the spirit of never giving up and insisting. I enjoy sports, too. I play badminton and table tennis with friends in the spare time.  I am also fond of listening to music.

I am a people person. Meanwhile I am a foodie. I like delicious food. Do you like delicious food?
