I will introduce to myself. I am 24 years old and a gentleman. I was born and raised in the Northwest of China, in Qinghai province. Previously, I lived in China with my parents and brother, but now I settled down in Dunedin in the New Zealand.

On weekdays, I usually go to the UOLC to study English in order to quickly improve my English levels and it can reach requirement of the University to finish my major. I am learning about English including reading, writing, new vocabulary and grammar. In addition, I have home works to do after class time. Every day there are different assignments to finish. Besides, I expect studying in such a multicultural environment where everyone involved in a class can understand so much about each other’s cultures, you have access to different habits and lifestyles.

On a typical weekday evening, I have a passion to watch international News on television because I like to explore politics and economics which contains in my own field of subjects. When I got pretty tired, I enjoy listening to music for relaxing. Especially, I prefer to listening in light music at night to adjust my sleeping time and avoid insomnia.

In my spare time, I have a lot of fun playing basketball, and I really like to watch the NBA  which was a competition of professional basketball players from all over the world. it can motivate my passion and sport’s talents. Thus I always try to play basketball as often as possible in the gym.  Occasionally, I keep in touch with my friends through the internet, in addition I enjoy having a meal together to talk at a restaurant.

I am looking forward to improving my English quickly. I hope I have a unique experience of living a full life in that studying abroad can widen my horizons.

Hi! Nice to meet you! You must know me if you are in the upper Intermediate class! I am Tianyi Zhang. you can call me Tracy as well .I am a 18 year old student from Beijing China .And now I live in Dunedin ,a lovely city in New Zealand.

I am a student of the Otago University Language Centre and I really enjoy my study life here. I live with a sweet host family .A kind couple with their talented daughter. We always sitting around the old stove and with two lovely cats which are their lovely pets. We live in one of Dunedin’s leafy hill suburbs.

On weekdays, I took bus and walk about 10minutes to get to school. I am planning to join the University of Otago undergraduate program so I am studying English here. I really love our classes because I am really into learning languages. I speak Chinese as my mother language, and a few of Japanese as well, of course English, and even a few words of Korean. Luckily, I am really a people person. Meeting classmates from all over the world makes me happy and more self-confident .Plus, our class finish early every day. I always enjoy the beautilful scenery on my way home.

In my spare time, I have a lot of things to do. I am really a big fan of music. Listening to music and singing songs are my most favorite things. My host family’s daughter is majoring in music now. So we have lots of topics about our hobby .I love Japanese pop music and some modern symphonic music.Particularly I impressed by the combination of classical music and modern popular music.When I listening to these kinds of music ,it just like being in another world just embraced by my own fantasy.

I enjoy painting too. Sometimes when I can’t do some music stuff, I just need a pen and paper. I can paint some animation characters by myself for I have watched lots of Japanese animation .Particularly I love watercolor painting. I usually impressed by the scenery paintings which are paint in watercolor. Besides, I always have planty of creative ideas and then I can paint them as a short manga. Painting something I imaged that makes me relax.

In my future plans ,I have applied for a health science foundation program, so maybe we can meet each other in medical science courses. But as you can see, I am really into art in some aspects. Art makes me a idealize person and I want to try lots of things that I haven’t tried before. For example I am interested in some mysterious filed like anthropology, psycology,  oceanography or astronomy. In addition, I also keen on some original produce like a art worker. Publishing my painting or create a music album for myself are also made me crazy .Anyway, come to be friends with me !Everyday can be surprising.

Hi, I am Akiyo Muranaka and I am 19 years old. I was born in Miyazaki is located in the south of Japan, but I live in Osaka alone to go to university. I have parents and one older brother and one older sister in Japan. I came to New Zealand to study English two weeks ago and now I live with my host family. There are a host father, a host mother, a brother 9 years old, a sister 6 years old, a dog called Diesel and a cat called Poppy.

On weekdays, I usually wake up at 6:30 am. I go to the UOLC by bus. After school, I often talk with my friends, and sometimes we go to some stores to eat like snacks and ice cream.

On weekday evenings, I often play with my brother and sister till having dinner. We often play soccer and some games. We usually have dinner at 5:30 pm. I think it is a little bit early to have dinner because I have had dinner after working a part-time job at 11:30 pm in Japan. After dinner, I usually do my homework. This is my typical life-style in New Zealand.

I cannot write about my weekends because I came here only two weeks ago. But in Japan, I usually do a part-time job on weekends. In my spare time, I like hanging out with my friends and watching YOUTUBE. I eat out with my friends twice or three times a week. Especially I like Korean BBQ and sushi. We sometimes go from a restaurant to another restaurant in a day. I love eating very much. On YOUTUBE, I watch a Japanese animation titled Detective Conan. If you have not watched it yet, you should try. This animation is a mystery story. In addition to them, I like cleaning my room. Particularly, I like cleaning a restroom because I always want to keep cleaning it, so I clean out that once two weeks.

I have a pet in Osaka. Can you imagine what I have as a pet? I have a frog and his name is Alexander, so I call him Alex. I have had him since last year and now my friend in Osaka takes care of him. The size of him is like a crumpled tissue. He is not so big, but not so small. He eats goldfish and raw chicken meat every two weeks. Frogs are easy to have as pets, so I recommend it you.

I can dance the hula and I like it. I am belong to the hula club activity. We have lessons once every two weeks. We perform on some dance stages, one day we danced the hula on the stage of the dolphin show. I think the hula is hard than people imagine it. If you want to try it, I can teach. So let’s dance together!

As for my character, I would say I am a talkative person. I would like to talk about various things with people from all over the world. My weak point though I would say that I have many foods I do not like. For example, there are green soybeans, fresh cream, fried eggs, boiled potatoes, and so on. But I can eat them, I just do not like eating them.

In conclusion, I will improve my English skills. Also I want to go to a lot of places which I have never been to. Anyway I enjoy my life and studying in New Zealand.

Hello!! How are you going? Ok I know you will answer good or fine or something like that and now let me introduce myself!   

 My name is Pithukarn  Booncheng and you can called me KARN! I was born in Lampang, Thailand. In my hometown I lived in a lovely home with my family. My family has 4 members, my father, my mother, my sister and me.

As for my education, I graduated from Bunyawat Wittayalai School in a mathematics-science programme and in school of law at Mae Fah Luang University.

    I came here (New Zealand) to study English language at the University of Otago Language Centre and Foundation Year for 6 mouths.I want to improve my English language skills and have gotten 750 scores in Toeic test for applied a company in Thailand.

I really enjoy reading a books, especially a story about  suspense, mystery, crime fiction, detective    for example Sherlock Holme, The Kindaichi case files, Detective Conan, Dan Brown, Da Vinci code, Arsense lupin and Jack the Ripper etc.  Those books are also very good and when I read it I feel exited and most probably be reading more. I love to solving problems and bringing closure to situations. It’s the way my brain work by nature and you can trying to figure out the answer to a puzzle. So what kind of books do you like?

My activity is drawing and painting a picture. I draw and paint because I love to draw and paint.

I really love to drawing picture from a photo, especially human photo because people are have more emotional and each person is have different style or figure. I think everyone is unique so this a reason why I love to draw them.
